As a Purchaser you will require a deep understanding of supply chain management and purchasing processes. This role requires a proven ability to optimize workflows by balancing supply and demand effectively while working to minimize costs and lead times.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Purchasing and Inventory Management
Oversee the purchasing process to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and equipment.
Track inventory levels and identify re-order points to avoid stockouts while minimizing excess inventory.
Monitor open orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Maintain up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, inventory, and supplier performance.
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., production, inventory, accounting) to ensure material and supply needs are met.
Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, or invoicing problems.
Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and new supply sources.
Assist in managing vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and relevant regulations.
