Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to provide essential support to patients in various settings, including senior care facilities, nursing homes, and assisted living environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care to those in need, particularly for patients with dementia or those receiving hospice care.

Duties

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor patients for any changes in condition. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Document patient care activities accurately and report any concerns to nursing staff. Support residents with dementia care strategies to ensure their safety and comfort. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, or caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs of patients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent training is an advantage but not mandatory. Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required by the facility.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
