Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need. This role involves living in the client's home to assist with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with seniors or individuals with disabilities, and possess a strong understanding of patient care practices.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's health status to appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records of medication administration. Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals and adjust care as needed based on patient observation. Provide support for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism, or other developmental disabilities. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient monitoring and observation to ensure optimal care outcomes. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Knowledge of caregiving best practices for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when working with clients. Familiarity with care plans and medication administration protocols is beneficial. A background in social work or nursing is a plus but not required.
