What will you work on?





The Public Relations Coordinator for North America contributes to Spin Master's success by assisting in the execution of innovative, strategic communication plans, brand PR campaigns, media relations and industry events in support of building Spin Master's reputation and awareness for toy, entertainment and digital offerings.


This position will work closely with our internal communications and CSR teams, as well as the company's marketing, brand, media, digital, social creative department and agency partners.



How will you create impact?





External Communications, Media Relations Brand PR



Assist in the development of assets for Spin Master's brand PR campaigns including the development and approval process of PR assets including seasonal fact sheets, look books, compiling of images, updating the company's corporate website with assets, tracking and shipping of samples etc. Act as the point of contact for external media tours and industry trade shows, coordinating, developing key messages and attending the taping/run throughs to ensure Spin Master products are presented accurately. Support Corporate Communications, assisting with the drafting of press releases, LinkedIn updates, executive bios, media briefing documents for interviews and updating website and website copy.

Media/Trade Events



Support the planning and execution of media previews and industry trade events, including coordination of event logistics, development of creative assets, shipping of samples, liaising with event organizers. Act as a brand ambassador at events both in Canada and the US (travel typically includes New York and LA). Track and coordinate development of ads with internal creative team for toy/entertainment/licensing trade publications.

Media Monitoring Reporting



Coordinate the review and company-wide dissemination of daily media briefings. Maintain internal media lists, research key media and provide proactive and reactive service to media including triaging the company's media relations inbox and organizing and shipping products for editorial print and television shoots. Assist with invoicing and payment processing for PR campaigns and events.

Cross Functional Support Miscellaneous



Assist in the drafting of award submissions and tracking of industry and media awards. Coordinate samples and communications for Internal and CSR.

What are your skills and experience?



Public relations experience Relationship management with external agencies, vendors and business Familiarity with Cision and Critical Mention platforms an asset.
