Public Education And Engagement Coordinator

Job Description
The Public Education and Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in advancing CEASE's mission to end sexual exploitation and human trafficking. This multifaceted role combines education and prevention advocacy, community outreach, digital communications, and event planning. The ideal candidate is passionate about social justice, skilled in both digital storytelling and community mobilization, and capable of managing multiple priorities with care and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Education & Outreach
Deliver presentations and workshops to schools, community groups, and professionals. Create educational materials and public awareness campaigns on exploitation and human trafficking. Participate in collaborative working groups and public committees (e.g., Labour Trafficking Subcommittee).
Digital Communications
Manage website updates (WordPress or similar). Plan and post engaging content across CEASE's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter). Design and distribute regular email newsletters using Mailchimp or similar tools.
Event Planning
Coordinate public education and awareness events (e.g., Red Dress Day, Men of Honour). Manage event logistics, community outreach, and promotion.
Community Engagement
Build relationships with schools, nonprofits, and community partners. Represent CEASE at events and outreach activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$34.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
