Northern Helm is charting a new course. Our goal is to normalize the cannabis retail experience: browsing and purchasing cannabis products should feel no different than any other shopping experience. We recognize that cannabis may be new to a lot of people, so our stores are beautiful and uncomplicated, designed to engage - not overwhelm - our guests.

Cannabis Guides (Budtenders) at Northern Helm Kingston are more than just your local cannabis experts. With a true passion for the plant, our Guides know how to share their knowledge with our guests. But what sets them apart is their ability to create a truly unique guest experience. Our Cannabis Guides build loyalty through authentic guest relationships, appropriately determining what products are right for each customer. A deep understanding of recreational cannabis products helps them to drive sales through education and awareness. Our Cannabis Guides demonstrate high levels of integrity and initiative, owning new challenges that pop up on a daily basis. They are always trying to better themselves, seeking out new product information, knowledge and feedback. And they do all this while being kind, genuine and responsible individuals. Cannabis Guides at Northern Helm Kingston don't see the store as just another dispensary - they see it as a way to improve lives through sustainable access to cannabis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create positive guest experiences by building loyalty and carefully considering each guest's unique needs Display a strong foundation of cannabis knowledge, while showing initiative to create compelling yet convenient cannabis shopping experiences Consistently look for areas to make improvements to operations and business results Drive sales by educating guests on cannabis products and accessories Successfully achieve sales targets and other key business metrics Support with completing all tasks and duties as assigned Adhere to all company training, operational standards and procedures Ensure compliance with all company policies and programs Adhere to all federal, provincial and municipal legislative requirements of cannabis retailers Complete tasks as assigned by Managers Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1-3 years experience in customer service with a preference for retail Proven ability to deliver positive guest experiences and develop customer loyalty Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication with excellent organizational skills Basic knowledge of the cannabis plant, recreational product offerings and safe consumption methods True passion for cannabis products and education Open to feedback and eager to improve Responsible, reliable, and guest-oriented

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum age 19 years old Able to lift boxes 5-35 lbs Must be willing to work shifts scheduled by company and comfortable with ever changing duties The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and CannSell certification Looking for 1-3 shifts a week, with the flexibility to pick up more if required.

Pay: From $17.25 per hour
