We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our private practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals facing various challenges. The Psychotherapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy in both individual and group settings.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and intake evaluations for clients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and therapeutic goals.
Provide psychotherapy using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Crisis Intervention techniques.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
Offer specialized counseling services for children, families, and individuals dealing with grief, PTSD, addiction, and developmental disabilities.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and manage medical records effectively.
Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies to support clients in acute distress.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and case management.
Stay informed about the latest research in mental health counseling and apply findings to practice as needed.
Provide telehealth services to clients as required, ensuring accessibility to mental health resources.
Requirements
Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field with appropriate licensure (CCPA).
Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is preferred.
Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to CBT, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
Knowledge of special education needs, geriatrics, chronic pain counseling, and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is beneficial.
Strong skills in patient assessment, case management, and direct support services.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
