EFCP is a heart-led practice that specializes in transformational therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR with a special focus on assisting individuals with complex trauma, and individuals working in the education and healthcare sectors.

This is a hybrid Independent Contractor position that will require in-person availability in west Hamilton.

The ideal candidate is/has:
Is a Registered Psychotherapist registered with the CRPO, or a Registered Social Worker registered with the OCSWSSW.
Has a Masters degree in a relevant field.
Has experience, training, and clinical skills in the area of trauma psychotherapy.
Has a
minimum of 2 years
of post-graduate (Masters) clinical experience or equivalent.
Has post-graduate training and experience in providing trauma-informed care using bottom-up approaches such as IFS, EMDR, SE, AEDP; or other modalities such as Gestalt, narrative therapy, EFT, EFFT, mindfulness or compassion-based, ACT.
Has experience with and interest in working with couples. Added bonus for training and experience using couples therapeutic modalities such as IFIO, Imago, Relational Life Therapy, EFT, or Gottman Method.
Has experience with and interest in working with families providing family therapy
Carries adequate professional liability insurance in Ontario.
Has interest and experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy for a range of issues/concerns and mental health struggles.
Is available to work a minimum of
5 client hours a week
, providing services both in-person and through video/phone according to client needs.
Has evening and/or weekend availability to see clients.
Is a self-starter who is dedicated to staying in a group practice for a while.
Has strong communication and interpersonal and relational skills.
Is able to deliver virtual services to clients with comfort, and has the necessary requirements to provide virtual services.
Is dedicated to personal and professional growth to deepen your knowledge and experience your own therapeutic healing.
Is able to complete charting in compliance with regulatory College and PHIPA reporting standards.
Additional Strengths:
Experience with and interest in working with client populations of healthcare workers, first responders, and education workers.
Experience with and interest in developing and facilitating therapeutic groups.
