About the Role
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced
Psychologist or Psychological Associate
to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients presenting with a variety of mental health, emotional, and behavioral concerns. This role is ideal for a clinician who values evidence-based practice, collaboration, and a client-centered approach within a supportive and professional healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviews, psychometric testing, and behavioral observations.
Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans based on clinical findings and client goals.
Provide evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and/or families (CBT, DBT, ACT, or other modalities).
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated client care.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive clinical documentation, reports, and treatment records in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education initiatives.
Support clients in developing coping strategies, resilience, and adaptive functioning.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards as outlined by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Psychologist:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counselling, or School Psychology from an accredited university.
Psychological Associate:
Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited university that meets the registration requirements of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Registration:
Must be
registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO)
to practice
independently or under supervision
in Ontario.
Authorized areas of practice may include
Clinical, Counselling, Rehabilitation, Health, or Neuropsychology
, depending on qualifications.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or community mental health setting.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of psychological assessment, psychometrics, and therapeutic modalities.
Familiarity with mental health legislation, ethics, and privacy standards in Ontario.
Skills:
Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with diverse populations.
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with strong documentation and organizational skills.
Additional Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
Certification or specialized training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, or trauma-informed therapy.
Experience in multidisciplinary or rehabilitation settings.
Bilingualism (English/French or another language) is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
$180K-250K (compensation based on experience and credentials)
