About the Opportunity
The Clinical Psychologist (PhD) is an essential member of the Senior\'s Health Care Program within the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care portfolio of Nova Scotia Health Authority. Psychologists are responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of services as well as the education and supervision of students. Nova Scotia Health Authority offers a CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship program in Clinical Psychology. The Psychologist provides assessment, intervention, teaching, research, and consultative services within an interdisciplinary approach to clinical care, and works collaboratively with Inter-professional team.
The primary focus of the service will be to address the psychosocial needs of veterans and residents living at Camp Hill Long Term Care, NSHA, as well as to provide support as appropriate to their significant others. The successful candidate will be required to provide 1:1 assessment and intervention, assist with the development of interdisciplinary care plans and provide consultation to other members of the Camp Hill health care team as well as to other health care providers. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide support to the development of programs that support the psychosocial wellbeing of veterans and residents.
The Psychologist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.
