This Psychology II Clinical Lead position supports both advanced clinical practice and clinical leadership. Please note: The position is posted as a 1.0FTE temporary position however smaller FTEs may be considered for the right candidate. The Psychologist II works within medical teams providing advanced practice clinical care (including assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention); provides consultation to the interprofessional team, patients and families as well as providing supervision to doctoral level psychology residents, masters level interns, provisional psychologists and psychometrists. This role additionally provides 0.2FTE to clinical leadership through supporting program development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement and evaluation and other leadership activities as identified based on the needs of the clinical area.Description:As a Psychologist II, you will provide advanced clinical services (including psychological assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention), consultation and education to the interprofessional team and patients/families, and/or provides clinical leadership and coordination in an assigned program area. This is an advanced level psychology position that will allow you to work with or within teams to provide and inform services for patients with complex and multi-dimensional medical, psychological, interpersonal, environmental and/or instrumental needs. You will consult, collaborate, and enact initiatives to ensure that practices are evidence based and in alignment with psychology standards of practice and code of ethics, as well as policy, legislation and regulations. You will be expected to lead, facilitate and/or participate in program, policy, and procedure development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement and evaluation, and/or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s). You may provide supervision to doctoral level psychology residents, master\'s level interns, provisional psychologists, psychometrists and other team members.

Required Qualifications:Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in a tertiary setting with a major emphasis in assessment and treatment of children, and youth with medical, developmental and mental health problems. Educational and/or other qualifications required to perform in the clinical area. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Leadership experience related to service planning, coordination and evaluation. Demonstrated ability in coaching, mentoring and demonstrated collaborative working with operational leadership and practice leadership. Effective communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care trained.
