Addiction & Mental Health's Children, Youth & Families portfolio provides a robust continuum of addiction and mental health services for youth aged 3 - 18 years old, as well as for their families. Services are delivered in four hospitals, community clinics, and a variety of other community-based locations in the Edmonton Zone. Our portfolio is dynamic, extensive, innovative and committed to collaborative service delivery within AHS and with our stakeholders such as Children & Family Services, Family Supports for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Edmonton Police Service, schools, CASA and other ministerial partners within the Government of Alberta. We are looking for Registered Psychologists that have an interest in providing casual coverage in any of these services, and we are hoping to expand existing coverage into the evenings and weekends to meet our client/patient and family needs. If you have an interest in testing and assessment, we have a skilled group of psychometrists and a robust testing library to access! If you have an interest in working with younger children with learning and developmental challenges, we have a program just for you! Description:
As a Psychologist I, you will work with or within teams to provide a range of standard level psychology services to patients and their families within the established standards, directives, and policies for the work environment. Your services may include psychological screening and/or assessment, diagnosis, interventions, rehabilitation, prevention and promotion, as well as educational activities. You will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals in planning and implementing services that align with best practices and ethical and professional standards. You will provide input to the interprofessional team related to psychological factors, barriers and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes and team functioning, and consult and collaborate with teams and community services. Your duties may also include providing supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists and/or masters level psychology students, and providing input into program, policy and/or procedure development in addition to participating in formal research initiatives.
