We are seeking a Registered Psychologist with expertise in child and adolescent mental health to join our dynamic team. This new role will provide targeted counseling and therapeutic interventions for young people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and school-related stress. The Psychologist will also collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver best-practice, evidence-based assessment and therapy in accordance with the College of Alberta Psychologists' practice guidelines.
Collaborate with patients, medical staff, and community resources to ensure integrated, comprehensive care.
Adhere to and contribute to PCN mental health protocols, adapting as needed to meet patient and community needs.
Develop and maintain partnerships with community and regional organizations.
Track, monitor, and report on patient encounters and performance indicators.
Provide input into program development by offering professional expertise and recommendations.
Service Areas
Individual Therapy: Focused sessions for children and teens addressing specific concerns.
Group Counseling: Targeted sessions on common youth issues such as bullying, peer pressure, and coping skills.
Family Support: Counseling to strengthen communication and problem-solving within families.
Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for children and families in acute distress.
Preventive Education: School-based workshops and outreach to promote awareness and resilience.
This role is part of a new initiative to expand local mental health services, reduce wait times, and ensure accessible, affordable care for families in our community.
Qualifications
Active registration and good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Minimum of 2-3 years recent experience in child and adolescent mental health.
Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care, CBT, and family systems therapy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a trauma-informed, youth-centered environment with diverse populations.
Collaborative mindset for working in an interdisciplinary team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
