Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health conditions across a diverse patient demographic, including children. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert clinical care and personalised treatment plans. The position will be self managed with a negotiable overhead split.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients of all ages, including children. Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness, adjusting as necessary in collaboration with patients and their families. Provide psychotherapy sessions, including individual, family, or group therapy, as appropriate. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as psychologists, social workers, and primary care physicians to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Stay updated with the latest developments in psychiatry through continuous professional development.

Skills

Proven experience working with children and understanding of paediatric mental health issues. Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Organised with meticulous attention to detail in record keeping and treatment planning. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
