Job Description
Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist for our Federal Client in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months psychiatric care experience in last 2 yearsperforming all the following tasks:
Provide psychiatric care and consultations. Assessment and treatment of mental illness. Discharge and release planning. Telepsychiatry sessions. Participation in case conferences, grievance processes, and quality improvement reviews. Documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Compliance with client policies, federal/provincial laws, and professional standards.
CREDENTIAL AND LICENSING MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Current License in psychiatry from provincial licensing body. Specialty Training accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. Maintenance of Competence (CPD transcript for past 5 years). Minimum Experience: 6 months providing psychiatric care in the last 2 years. References: Two signed reference forms from employers attesting to competence.
