Key Responsibilities

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be the heart of our client's care, providing essential, personalized support in their private homes. Your duties will include:

Personal Care:

Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing) and mobility support.

Household Management:

Performing light housekeeping tasks and assisting with laundry to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Nutrition:

Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.

Health Support:

Assisting with medication reminders and management as directed by a care plan.

Companionship:

Providing compassionate emotional support and companionship, fostering a sense of well-being.

Reporting:

Accurately documenting services provided and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the supervising team.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this vital role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Certification:

Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program OR relevant experience.

Skills:

Proven strong interpersonal and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Character:

A deeply compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor with a strong commitment to client dignity and well-being.

Work Style:

Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.

Transportation:

Reliable transportation is essential to travel between client homes in the North York area.
