NEW RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM

This incentive offers $10,000 for a 12-month commitment to work full-time in a Long Term Care home.

What will you do.
Reports to the Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing
Participates as a member of the home multidisciplinary team to provide care
Assists residents while promoting independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) by assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting and mobility as directed on each resident's individual care plan.
Supports residents during mealtimes with care and dignity, assisting those who need help with eating and ensuring everyone enjoys nourishing snacks and refreshments between meals
Help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents
Notice and share any changes in a resident's health or well-being with the registered staff
Communicate with kindness, patience, and respect to build meaningful connections with residents and their families
Keep accurate records of the care and support provided to ensure residents' needs are met
Must represent, understand, and be committed to the Mission and Values of the home
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislation
What will you need.
PSW certification is required as per the requirements of the Long-Term Care Act and Regulations
Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) training -- provided onsite to support your professional growth and confidence in resident care if you do not have it
Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, e-mail, internet use, and computerized documentation.
Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
CPR, First Aid- an asset
