Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) specializing in foot care to join our service delivery team. This role is vital in providing client care in a variety of programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care, and will be committed to enhancing the comfort and well-being of our clients through attentive foot care. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive foot care services within the scope of a PSW, including basic assessment, cleaning, filing, use of dremel and moisturizing to promote foot health and prevent complications. Assist clients with mobility challenges during foot care procedures to ensure safety and comfort. Support clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance as needed. Maintain a clean and sanitized environment/equipment during and after foot care procedures. Document all services provided accurately, noting any concerns or changes in condition and referral to professional provider if required.

Requirements

PSW with basic/advanced foot care training and certificate. Prior experience working in assisted living or home care environments preferred. Knowledge of senior care, working with people with disabilities and dementia care best practices. Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience when working with vulnerable populations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team dedicated to quality client care.

Pay: From $22.95 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 24 per week
