A propos du poste

Nous recherchons un prepose aux beneficiaires pour rejoindre notre equipe dediee a accompagner et soutenir le developpement des enfants et adolescents ayant une deficience intellectuelle au sein de notre structure educative.

Travaillant en etroite collaboration avec les residents, les familles et les intervenants, vous serez responsable d'offrir des soins d'hygiene, d'assistance aux activites de la vie quotidienne (AVQ) et de la vie domestique (AVD) tout en respectant les normes et standards etablis.

Nous recrutons pour des postes a temps partiel et a temps plein permanents.

Horaires flexibles : Quart de nuit et de fin de semaine disponibles. Horaire ajustable : Minimum 28.5 heures par semaine (a discuter selon vos disponibilites). Salaire : Debute a 18$ jusqu'a 21,75 , + 1$ de plus prime de nuit
Responsabilites

Travailler en collaboration avec les jeunes, les intervenants et les familles. Aider les jeunes dans leurs soins d'hygiene, a s'habiller et a se deshabiller. Faire la lessive de la literie et des vetements des jeunes. Soutenir l'apprentissage des habiletes, l'hygiene et la qualite de vie. Preparer et servir les repas, y compris les collations. Encourager l'autonomie, la socialisation et l'epanouissement personnel de chaque enfant. Assurer la securite et le bien-etre des enfants en tout temps. Gerer les situations de crise et les interventions du quotidien. Utiliser les outils d'intervention disponibles (ex. pictogrammes, cahier de communication).
Profil recherche

Diplome en Assistance a la personne en etablissement de sante reconnu par le ministere de l'Education ou equivalent. Capacite a travailler en equipe et a communiquer efficacement avec les jeunes, les parents et les collegues. Ponctualite et fiabilite. Capacite a suivre les routines des jeunes. Autonomie et capacite d'adaptation. Bonne connaissance de l'anglais parle. Maitrise du francais (ecrit et parle). Une experience ou connaissance de la clientele est un atout, mais non obligatoire.

About the Position

We are looking for a caregiver to join our dedicated team in supporting and fostering the development of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities within our educational facility.

Working closely with residents, families, and professionals, you will be responsible for providing hygiene care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and domestic life (IADLs) while ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.

We are hiring for both part-time and full-time permanent positions.

Flexible schedules: Night and weekend shifts available. Adjustable schedule: Minimum of 28.5 hours per week (to be discussed based on your availability). Salary: Starting at $18 up to $21.75, plus a $1 night shift premium.
Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with children, professionals, and families. Assist children with hygiene care, dressing, and undressing. Wash bed linens and clothing. Support skill development, personal hygiene, and quality of life. Prepare and serve meals, including snacks. Encourage autonomy, socialization, and personal growth. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Manage crisis situations and daily interventions. Utilize available intervention tools (e.g., pictograms, communication notebooks).
Required Profile

Diploma in Personal Assistance in Healthcare recognized by the Ministry of Education or equivalent. Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Punctual and reliable. Able to follow children's routines. Resourceful and adaptable. Good spoken English skills. Proficiency in French (spoken and written). Knowledge or relevant experience with this clientele is an asset but not mandatory.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for residents as needed. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and guidelines. Prepare meals and assist residents with dining as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Support individuals with disabilities by promoting independence while ensuring their safety. Engage with residents in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being during nighttime hours. Document care provided and report any changes in resident conditions to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience in patient care, caregiving, or home care is preferred. Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living environments is an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided. Must be able to work overnight shifts consistently.
