The incumbent will be reporting to the Manager, Health equipment Loan Program, this position plans, organizes, controls directs, and coordinates the supply, storage, and distribution of health equipment for the province of Alberta. Oversees the equipment reprocessing and distribution operations of the health equipment loan services across Alberta. Ensures efficient service delivery and maintains established program quality standards and safe work practices to achieve program goals throughout all sites across the province.

In this role, you will:

Operational Oversight of Distribution Operations
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of equipment reprocessing quality standards and procedures. Oversee operational logistics of the unit, establish work schedules, resolve work-related issues, prepare and submit progress reports, and coordinate activities with other supply-chain work units related to the technical side of the operations.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with all contract service delivery and reporting requirements relating to equipment reprocessing.
  • Monitor the tracking and information systems that track health equipment, including the oversight of purchase, storage, and distribution transactions.
  • Ensure all work is performed and facilities operated in accordance with Society\'s health, safety and risk management policies.
  • Investigate and coordinates the response to product incidents in collaboration with Sr. Manager. Respond to and follows up on complaints or incidents regarding equipment quality.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate responses to Safety Bulletins and Recall Advisories.
  • Develop, implement, and manage service delivery productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Actively engaged in Occupational Health and Safety meetings.
  • Provide expert technical advice to staff and volunteers regarding equipment.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and repairs of the Hubscrubs throughout the province.
Supervision and Performance Management Support
  • Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and support technicians and volunteer technicians in Alberta.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching and mentoring to technicians to promote a positive and feedback-rich environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Society HR standards and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and respect that aligns with Society\xe2\x80\x99s fundamental principles.
Program Planning and Development
  • Troubleshoot and provide expert advice regarding equipment purchasing, storage, and distribution practices to the province.
  • Obtain feedback on program performance from the annual quality assurance audit.
  • Prepare and recommend plans to maintain required inventory levels
  • Contribute to contract negotiations with suppliers.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Integrate volunteer resources within the scope of responsibilities.
Financial Management
  • Work with the Sr. Manager to ensure compliance with funding contract terms including completion of reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to regular budget reviews and ongoing management of resources.
What we are looking for:
  • The minimum qualifications for this job are completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain management, or other relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You successfully navigate the unexpected, respond to changing needs and apply lessons learned.
  • You are able to adapt your communication style to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization,
  • You are able to set priorities, achieve goals and be solutions based on operational efficiencies
  • You understand the importance of listening and responding to stakeholder needs in order to provide excellent service.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 80lbs
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability and able to troubleshoot problems of a technical nature
  • Ability to lead a team, and to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Outlook and data entry/database skills, and s trong organizational skills
  • Successful completion of CPR/First Aid taken within the past 2 years (or required to take within probationary period)
  • Training in health equipment repair is an asset
  • Experience working with volunteers and diverse populations
Working conditions:
  • Frequent travel around the province is required. Access to own vehicle is preferred.
  • The majority of the work is performed in an environment which is mostly clean and comfortable.
  • May be required to provide additional support during times of personal disaster response.
  • A valid Alberta Driver`s license and acceptable abstract are required.
