Overview
------------
Responsible for safeguarding TTC facilities, assets, and personnel through vigilant monitoring and proactive security measures. Duties include overseeing surveillance systems, controlling access to sensitive areas, and responding promptly to emergencies with calm and coordinated action.
Support is also provided to other security teams through administrative functions, ensuring accurate documentation and seamless communication. These responsibilities reflect a strong commitment to safety, operational integrity, and the protection of TTC's infrastructure and workforce.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and secure TTC Revenue Operations and various satellite sites
Use surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity
Conduct security audits and write reports
Ensure security coverage across TTC locations; adjust schedules as needed
Enforce parking rules and issue tickets or warnings
Issue access cards and arrange building escorts
Report unsafe or unsanitary conditions
Maintain and troubleshoot security systems
Keep detailed logs and records
Respond to security incidents and patrol TTC properties
Coordinate staffing to ensure coverage and reduce risk
Support a respectful, inclusive workplace in line with OHRC and AODA
Participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program

Qualifications
------------------
A combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent
Valid Ontario Class G driver's license (non-probationary) in good standing. (see Drivers Abstract requirements)
Valid Ontario Security Guard license
Able to pass an enhanced background check
Knowledge of TTC properties and layouts is an asset
Familiar with Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and TTC By-law No.1
First Aid/CPR and MLEO designation an asset
CPTED training and CPP/PSP certification is an asset
Understanding of accessibility and human rights legislation
