Job Description




TITLE: Propulsion System Dataset Calibration Engineer
DURATION: 12 months contract with possible extension based on your performance
LOCATION: Remote with travel to US for meetings Description:

  • The Propulsion System Dataset Calibration Engineer is responsible for preparing and releasing propulsion system calibrations to support development and production vehicle applications. The engineer will coordinate calibration change documentation and reporting with an international team of calibrators on various programs. The engineer will be the key point of contact for program controller updates and releases as well as maintaining calibration best practice audit to support key vehicle milestones.
Responsibilites to include but not limited to:

Compile calibration changes to support development and calibration maturity targets

Support development and production releases, providing change documentation and interfacing with stakeholders in the releasing process (service, plant, etc).

Fleet and warranty issue management, working with the cross functional team for technical problem solving and data review

Prepare technical reports supporting detailed change descriptions for calibration development

Provide input for field fix and running change documentation for emissions and OBD certification (if applicable)
  • Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics from an accredited university

Minimum of 1 year combined work experience in the area of powertrain development and/or calibration.

English: Advanced

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)

Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills

Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Good interpersonal relationship

Ability to work as a team

Conflict and crisis management

Preferred:

Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods

Knowledge of software and equipment for propulsion systems calibration, MATLAB, measurement and analysis (Inca-Etas / Horiba)

Knowledge of the dyno environment and tools related to it, such as: Puma, Cameo, Indicom, Concerto

Experience with Matlab scripting and other useful data processing languages/tool sets ex: Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc...

Notes:

Remote with travel to US for meetings

Candidates must be able to travel to US for meetings. Driving is required so please have a valid driv er\'s license
