Your opportunity
Dillon's Buildings Infrastructure Practice is looking for a Proposal Strategy & Content Manager to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects and be exposed to complex, multidisciplinary projects and client pursuits. This unique role blends strategic content leadership for high-value pursuits with practice-wide quality oversight.

Strategic Proposal Leadership
Lead the development of all narrative content for strategic and high-value proposals, including executive summaries, technical approaches, and differentiators.
Partner with SMs to translate technical strategies into compelling, client-focused messaging, allowing SMs to prioritize client engagement and pricing strategy.
Drive the development of winning strategies for key pursuits, ensuring our messaging clearly aligns with client priorities and Dillon's strengths.
Fully own the tailoring of CVs, bios, and representative projects, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
Take on first-draft writing responsibilities for major sections to reduce drafting burdens on technical teams.
Practice-Wide Visibility & Quality Oversight
Maintain a broad understanding of all proposals developed within the Buildings Infrastructure Practice, providing guidance on content, templates, and messaging standards.
Serve as the central resource for proposal best practices, ensuring teams across the Practice have access to the right materials and tools.
Support PCs, PSs, and other contributors by ensuring every proposal reflects brand consistency, accuracy, and Dillon's value proposition.
Content Library & Knowledge Management
Serve as the single point of accountability for Buildings Infrastructure proposal content, ensuring that all materials are accurate, up to date, and easily accessible.
Capture and repurpose high-quality content, lessons learned, and innovations from each submission for future use.
Lead efforts to organize, structure, and enhance content libraries to support fast, high-quality proposal production.
Editing and Quality Control
Conduct first-round content reviews to ensure clarity, conciseness, and messaging strength.
Free PCs and PSs to focus on formatting and compliance by taking responsibility for editorial quality.
Establish content standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across all submissions.
Innovation & Process Development
Champion AI-assisted tools to streamline the proposal process by automating routine tasks like content search and document assembly, enabling deeper focus on strategic messaging and client refinement.
Identify opportunities to improve proposal workflows and reduce duplication of effort across teams.
Regularly review and refine templates, style guides, and best practices to support efficiency and quality. Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, engineering, architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in proposal writing, coordination, or technical communication, ideally in engineering, architecture, or consulting.
Experience:
Proven ability to lead proposal content development and relieve technical leads of drafting responsibilities.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofing skills, with expertise in creating concise, client-focused narratives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience with proposal automation tools.
Familiar with using AI tools to boost proposal process efficiency while retaining strategic and editorial control.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong ability to balance technical accuracy and persuasive messaging.
