Position Summary
Under the direction of the Facilities and Property Services Manager, the Property Services Supervisor is a hands-on position responsible for assisting in planning, directing and controlling the Property Services department in a smooth and efficient manner. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Motivates, leads by example and provides a learning environment. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia's culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.
Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of casino and public areas (this is a hands-on, working supervisory position).
  • Monitoring work performance including training, coaching, counselling and performance appraisals
  • Assists in the preparation of schedules and work schedule delegations on shift.
  • Responsible for correct payroll review and approval when required.
  • Assisting in directing and controlling the Property Services department in a smooth and efficient manner.
  • Monitoring the building environment controls to ensure guest comfort and experience
  • Responsible for various other projects as assigned by the Property Services Manager
Minimum Qualifications
  • Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience in a cleaning environment an asset.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures an asset
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel is required
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks is essential
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of motivation and energy
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven guest service skills and experience
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
