Are you interested in supporting communities through safe, affordable housing? Reporting to the Director of Housing and Community Support, the Property Manager oversees a portfolio that includes

non-profit housing units, offices, and commercial buildings. In this role, you'll ensure housing operations are safe, efficient, and responsive to the needs of tenants and program participants while maintaining financial sustainability to advance our mission of providing quality housing and community support.



This position offers variety and flexibility, and is based out of two locations: our administrative office in

What You'll Do





As

Property Manager

, you'll play a key role in ensuring our non-profit housing and commercial properties are well-maintained, compliant, and welcoming for tenants and program participants. Your responsibilities will include:


Oversee Property Operations

- Manage a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with BC Housing standards and the Residential Tenancy Act.

Lead Maintenance & Inspections

- Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance, annual inspections, and energy-saving initiatives.

Support Tenants

- Handle tenant selection, move-ins, issue resolution, and maintain accurate records for both residential and commercial tenants.

Manage Teams & Contractors

- Supervise property management staff and contractors, ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.

Financial Oversight

- Assist with budgets, approve expenditures, and contribute to capital improvement planning.

Emergency Response

- Participate in an on-call rotation for building and tenant emergencies.



Our ideal Housing Coordinator will bring the following:




Education or training in property management or a combination of related training and experience Minimum 3 years of recent related experience in the property management field Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act Supervisory experience Experience working in a non-profit environment with affordable and rent-geared-to-income housing Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Additional Requirements




A criminal record check including a Ministry of Justice Vulnerable Sector Clearance Letter is required prior to hiring Must possess a valid driver
