Position Description:
Do you take pride in creating safe, welcoming, and well cared for spaces? Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, ASC is seeking a
Property Maintenance Specialist
dedicated to maintaining the integrity and appearances of our facilities and homes. This role ensures compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and codes by having necessary set up, maintenance, and repairs completed within one's personal scope of knowledge and skills, and as required by qualified professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all ASC properties are well maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing;
Execute maintenance deliverables in a timely manner, such as seasonal lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal;
Ensure qualified contractors are hired to complete required fee for service work and track maintenance projects;
Administer and report on maintenance budgets for all ASC sites;
Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks;
Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests and emergencies;
Manage and maintain inventory of all ASC tools and equipment;
Follow all safety standards and promote a safe work environment at all times.
Education and Requirements:
Grade 12, GED, or equivalent experience;
Prior experience in property or facilities maintenance, lawn care, or a related field;
Solid knowledge of basic repair techniques and landscaping equipment;
Class 5 Driver's License and a reliable vehicle for use for maintenance purposes;
Ability to obtain vehicle insurance showing $2 million liability coverage;
Have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR Level C;
A clear Police Information Check;
Physical stamina and a comfort with outdoor work in various conditions;
Ability to lift, pull, push heavy equipment safely and on a regular basis;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Knowledge and ability to use computers and technology effectively;
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently;
Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
This role will interact with people served in ASC programs. The successful candidate must demonstrate patience and kindness, with the ability to accommodate the needs of the clients.
