Job Description

We are looking for a Property Maintenance Associate to support specialized maintenance tasks, seasonal projects, and building compliance across our Montreal properties located in:


St Leonard Cote Saint-Luc Hampstead Cote-Des-Neiges-NDG Ville St-Laurent




As a Property Maintenance Associate, they will work across multiple properties, focusing on skilled repairs and project management rather than routine daily upkeep. This role is designed for an experienced maintenance professional who can manage complex repairs, coordinate with contractors, and ensure building systems remain fully operational. This is a full-time position, with benefits provided.

Responsibilities:




Troubleshooting and Repairs

: Perform maintenance and skilled repair tasks in both common areas and suites as required, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry-related work, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Project Execution:

Lead and complete project-based tasks across properties such as in-suite compliance repairs, equipment replacements, or system upgrades in coordination with Regional Operations Managers.

Painting and Surface Repairs:

Maintain the property's aesthetic appeal by performing painting, surface refinishing, and general touch-up projects.

Preventive Maintenance:

Assist in implementing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program to ensure the longevity and functionality of building systems, equipment, and appliances. Perform periodic inspections and adjustments as necessary.

Maintenance Inspections:

Conduct formal inspections of building systems, common areas, and select in-suite repairs requiring skilled attention. Document findings, ensure compliance with maintenance standards, and follow up on any identified issues or required actions.

Maintenance Tickets

: Review, prioritize, and complete maintenance tickets assigned by Property Managers or Regional Operations Managers, coordinating with live-in concierges as needed. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure tenant satisfaction.

Multi-Property Coverage:

Travel between properties to handle special maintenance requests or fill in during extended absences, working closely with property managers who manage routine maintenance tasks. Responding to after-hours urgent maintenance emergencies at the property as required.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including but not limited to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Report any safety concerns or hazards to the appropriate supervisor or management.

Maintenance Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, repairs completed, materials used, and any additional relevant information. Keep track of inventory and report any shortages or required restocking.

Communication and Meeting

: Participate in weekly meetings with the Regional Operations Managers to coordinate property-wide initiatives and provide guidance to concierges as needed. Document findings, assign follow-up tasks, and ensure timelines are met for all projects and initiatives.



Qualifications:




Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably with residential properties. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or skilled trade certifications are an asset. Hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Experience with painting, drywall repairs, and surface preparation as part of property maintenance projects. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple maintenance projects. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Effective organizational and communication skills. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Fluent in English and French.
