About the role We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Property Customer Service Representative to join our growing team within the Property Unit to learn a new and exciting line of business! As a Property Customer Service Representative, your work will have a big impact on providing legendary customer service to both our external and internal customers in a call centre environment. People will count on you to open up their claims, provide next steps and quickly resolve their inquiries in a professional manner. We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude to join our team. This position will work 35 hours a week, 7 hours a day starting from 10am to 6pm EST. This is a full time permanent opportunity and can be based in our Mississauga, Richmond Hill, or Ajax offices. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do here:
  • Be the first point of contact for our property insurance customers
  • Listen and guide customers through the claims process
  • Collaborate with, and learn from, our experienced team of property Claims Adjusters
  • Become an expert on our policies, products, services, and initiatives and share your knowledge with your colleagues \xe2\x80\x93 they will do the same
  • Inspire and be inspired to meet or surpass daily call centre metrics
  • Take pride in providing quality customer service, maintaining low hold times, and keeping your file notes clear and concise
What you bring to the table: Education and Experience:
  • Completion of High School diploma is required
  • University degree or College diploma is preferred
  • Willing to pursue your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • Insurance experience and Bilingualism (French and English) are considered assets
Talents & Knowledge:
  • Previous experience meeting KPI metrics/goals (efficiency to meet service levels, quality assurance, promotion of products or services, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Superior organizational skills, results-oriented
  • Strong resourcefulness, ability to work autonomously, and committed to self-development
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships
  • Bilingual is considered an asset
This team works on a flexible schedule: 35 hours a week during our business hours of operation: Due unforeseen weather events and higher volumes at times you will be asked to work on weekends and Statutory holidays if needed.
