Position: Property Accounting Technician
Location: Downtown Montreal
Salary: $80,000 (Based on experience)
Benefits: Bonus, 15 personal days, 3 weeks of vacation, RRSP matching, 8 wellness days, short Fridays, health and dental insurance

Our client, a well-established commercial enterprise, is urgently hiring a Property Accounting Technician to for their growing team in the heart of Downtown Montreal. You will be playing a pivotal role by overseeing accounting functions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders of the industry. The ideal candidate: - Accounting diploma and/or Degree in Accounting
- At least 3 years of Commercial Property Accounting experience
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience using property management and accounting software
- Bilingualism to communicate with people in Ontario

Main Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly reporting package for management/investors
- Perform various accounts and bank reconciliations
- Record routine journal entries, including at month-end
- Assist with quarterly/yearly reporting packages as requested
- Review annual landlord reconciliation statements and real estate tax calculations
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting for commercial portfolio
- Manage commercial leases in Yardi including set-up of new tenant set-up in Yardi
- Prepare tax filings relating to HST/GST
- Assist with year-end audits as directed by Property Accounting Manager
- Review coding of invoices to ensure accurate posting in general ledger
- Prepare and maintain necessary continuity schedules
