The Opportunity

Property Accountant

, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our company. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment and is eager to take ownership of their work while continuing to develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage

Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)

Perform

data entry

with accuracy and attention to detail Prepare and complete

account reconciliations

Assist in the preparation of

monthly financial statements

Support the development of

annual budgets

and forecasts Collaborate with property management staff to ensure accurate financial reporting Provide ad hoc accounting support as needed in a growing organization

Qualifications

2+ years of experience

in an accounting role (property management experience preferred) Post-secondary education in

Accounting, Finance, or related field

Progress toward a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) considered an asset Experience with

Yardi ERP software

is highly beneficial Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices Proficiency with MS Excel, Work, Outlook and other standard office software Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
