We are looking for a responsible and reliable team player to join our Property Management firm in our Vancouver office, for parental leave coverage contract (10-months). The successful candidate will be a fast learner, confident in making decisions, and adaptable. We require an individual who is able to multi-task and prioritize, who works well in a fast-paced environment; someone who is well organized and pays meticulous attention to detail.

Job Duties:

Full cycle monthly accounting for a specific portfolio of our Canadian properties using Yardi Voyager software. Assist the Controller with corporate accounting for our Canadian offices Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicate financial results to management & owners Assist with annual budget preparation for assigned portfolio Cash flow management for assigned portfolio Financial statements consolidation for assigned portfolio Bank reconciliation for assigned portfolio Reinforce financial data confidentiality Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations

Qualifications and Skills

:

Concise verbal & written communicator with staff, management, property owners, external accountants & various governmental agencies Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Microsoft Suite Recent experience using Yardi is considered an asset Recent experience of GST filing, corporate taxes Independent thinker who works well within a team environment Excellent work ethic, self-starter Ability to multitask under different deadlines Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Finance Working towards completion of CPA designation is considered an asset 5 or more years in a dynamic Accounting position
