Summary:

The Properties Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day operations of Nunak's commercial and residential properties, such as apartment buildings, single-family homes, office buildings and commercial buildings.

Reporting to the Nunatsiavut Group of Companies' Chief Operating Officer, the Properties Coordinator is a role which encompasses the coordination and execution of activities related to property, logistics and real estate.

Responsibilities:

- Point of contact for communicating with tenants of property leases and responding to questions and general concerns.

- Responsible for addressing common maintenance issues across multiple properties for preventative maintenance and repairs covering a variety of trade areas in construction, renovation, maintenance.

- Performs electrical maintenance work which includes changing light fixtures, light bulbs, installing fans and plugs and advising licensed electrician when major repairs are required.

- Checks and repairs plumbing fixtures such as toilets and faucets and advises licensed plumber when major repairs are required.

- Conducts routine inspections of the properties including fire extinguishers, emergency lights and the overall property condition.

- Performs general maintenance work such as plastering and painting and cutting and installing shelving. Installs and replaces door closures, locks, and cylinders.

- Labour work including but not limited to shovelling, moving materials etc.

- Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

- Completion of high school with 1-2 years of related experience, combination of relevant education and/or experience considered.

- Good work ethic, good attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

- Class 5 driver's license

Assets:

- Standard First Aid/CPR

- Basic understanding and proficiency in Carpentry, Electrical, and Plumbing.
