The Position:
As a Project Systems Engineer/Specialist you will be part of a project team delivering mobile video solutions to Gatekeeper Customers. You will play a pivotal role on our team by providing technical support as required in order to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of customer-facing projects. Tasks will be varied and broad in scope. For example, tasks may include safety analysis, reliability analysis, providing detail on the operation of specific features, performance measurements and reports, research and design of encrypted tunnels between a vehicle and a fixed server over a cellular link, working with customers to configure their internal network to meet specific requirements, throughput analysis, design/create and deliver technical training material to customers, working with Gatekeeper fulfillment to ensure product/shipment labeling meets customer requirements. As Gatekeeper enters new markets customers are requiring analysis and responses to technical issues that Gatekeeper may not have previously been required to respond to. This position requires the successful candidate to work from the Gatekeeper's office. Some at home work is possible however the expectation is that majority of the work month will be spent in the office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for customers facing mobile video projects.
Self-manage deliverables, define scope of response, derive/create answers for response and then deliver response as per agreed to timelines and schedules.
Be a key communication link between clients and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of technical response and other issues per customers requirements and schedules.
Work closely with Gatekeepers Proposal Group, providing technical updates and team information relevant to proposals and project execution.
Reviewing orders as they relate to the delivery of features, and technical responses that are required
Preparing reports, collaborating on schedules, and forecasting completion dates.
Prepare various documents, including proposals, schedules, and client technical deliverables, ensuring timely delivery.
Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings, take meeting minutes while following up on action items.
Maintain effective communication with the project team and clients to ensure smooth project execution and administrative compliance.
What you bring to the Gatekeeper team:
Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in a technology related business in either manufacturing, product development or engineering
Experience in delivering technical guidance, reports, presentations to customers as part of a Gatekeeper project delivery team
Able to learn, understand and develop methodologies to fulfill project technical requirements and analysis that Gatekeeper previously has not been exposed to.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
Able to develop knowledge on topics from various sources including Gatekeeper OEM's, vendor support, and various internet resources.
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team setting under strict deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
The ability to work effectively under pressure with diverse stakeholders.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or
Bachelors Degree in Computing or Science or
Technologist Diploma with relevant experience.
Other Must Haves Include:
Candidates must have a valid passport, driver license and ability to travel to the US and in Canada.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Viso and Microsoft Project,
Non-technical Competencies:
Ideally you will have excellent team player, interpersonal and written communication skills, be a self-starter, well organized, detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines. Key to success in this role will be the ability to behands on, think analytically and problem solve effectively.
