This position performs the role of project coordinator position on project. This requires comprehensive knowledge in project documentation, project procedures, and relevant company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with major project activities, including support of task force objectives and/or project milestones
  • Participate in task force meetings
  • Report directly to a task force project manager or project director
  • Ensure that project correspondence and project documentation are handled according to a prescribed format
  • Coordinate, execute and maintain the resource planning database of Vancouver office
  • Maintain filing system to ensure accurate, up-to-date and consistent data
  • Interface with departments and project managers on appropriate staffing levels of projects personnel
  • Take ownership and initiative of high-volume administrative tasks, conducting audits to ensure resource planning accuracy and data integrity
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency by suggesting process improvements, streamline of workflows, contributing to the continuous improvement of the operations team
  • Handle sensitive employee data with the highest degree of confidentiality and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all updates and employee records
  • Coordinate space allocation for Vancouver projects task force
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Perform technical and administrative duties including, but are not limited to: report preparation, presentations, setting up and maintaining department files
  • Works closely with the operations team, with direct supervision, providing technical and administrative support including meeting coordination, meeting notes and other tasks as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and project coordination abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, anticipation, show initiative and proactivity
  • Advance computer skills in Microsoft applications (such as Excel, Power Point, Word and Visio)
  • Prior experience in a similar role coordination position
  • Prior Fluor experience or Mining experience in EPCM companies will be considered an asset
  • Working in a similar role with senior management will be an asset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills, judgment, flexibility and proactive
  • Typically requires six (6) years of project related experience
  • Demonstrate proficiency on company standard personal computer equipment and software with the ability to train others
