We\'re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Operations team in the role of Project Support Specialist.

As a Project Support Specialist, you will\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Experimentation:
  • Manage research priorities alongside cultivation leads.
  • Design, plan, execute, and document experiments for the continuous improvement of cultivation practices.
  • Manage experimental project datasets in a transparent, organized manner.
  • Data collection:
  • Support data collection efforts in all areas of cultivation and collaborate with other data collection teams.
  • Perform sample collection for the purpose of analyzing potency/terpene %, nutrition content and potential pathogens.
  • Liaise with external lab partners to ensure successful outgoing sample shipments and timely incoming data receiving.
  • Ensure reliable, accurate database entries. Manage data inputs, errors, and troubleshooting.
  • Data analysis
  • Manage, manipulate, and statistically analyze data as relevant to impacts on plant growth, yield, IPM, and flower quality. Generate clean, effective data visualizations using graphical software (Excel, R, Power BI).
  • Reporting
  • Report experimental results, research proposals, data analyses, and investigations to Cultivation stakeholders using presentations. Document all experiments using project reports.
  • Creating and updating potency reports as they become available.
  • Follow-up/implementation
  • Ensure successful application of research findings into practice (where applicable) by making recommendations, communicating to relevant teams, passing off new procedures, or writing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operations Support
  • Maintain and enhance the daily/weekly scheduling for Operations Department.
  • Work with the operations manager on Best In Class Operations solutions.
  • Coordinate with departments as needed.
  • Aid in setup of sensors and other scientific equipment, and integration of novel data collection systems.
  • Maintain paper and electronic documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Other duties as required

  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • 1-2 years\' experience in a Data Collection
  • Experience with R statistical software is desirable
  • Must comply with standards that are dictated by regulatory bodies.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with operations and all stakeholders for successful project completion
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong Excel skill is desirable
  • Strong work ethic, highly motivated and enjoys a challenge
  • Detail conscious and result oriented
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Willing and able to learn new skills and concepts quickly
  • Enjoys a multi-faceted and dynamic work environment
  • Able to prioritize and be flexible, while maintaining efficiency

  • Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs.
  • Temperatures range from 18 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Able to perform cleaning and crop maintenance duties while working on a step ladder
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
  • This position involves significant exposure to cannabis/plant materials, and it is therefore not likely suitable for an employee that may suffer from allergies to cannabis/plant pollen material, or experience other medical issues, such as asthma and hay fever, as a result of cannabis/plant material exposure
