JOB SUMMARY:





Reporting to the Project Manager within JATEC's Special Projects Group, the Project Administrator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure and electrical construction projects at JATEC. This position provides administrative support by maintaining documentation, tracking progress, and assisting with day-to-day project requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.




RESPONSIBILITIES:




Provide administrative support and data entry to Project Managers as required. Maintain project documents physically and electronically. Attend meetings as needed to provide support for note taking. Coordinate with project team members and facilitate the flow of information. Follow established company project management policies, guidelines, technology, and templates. Suggest improvements and positive changes to existing systems and procedures. Maintain a high quality of work, ensuring that quality self-checks are performed. Initiate and organize an efficient work routine in a busy project environment. Interact with team members, share lessons learned, and build knowledge base. Prepare material take-off and billing workbooks for assigned projects. Handle utility locates and traffic control permits. Create and compile closeout packages, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete. Support preparation and submission of RFIs, submittals, and progress claims.



QUALIFICATIONS:




Required:




1-3 years' work experience in a similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced computer skills, particularly use of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and seek clarification where required. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Adept at problem solving, conflict resolution and collaboration. Demonstrated integrity and personal excellence, self-motivated and detail oriented. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Thrives in a team environment.

Preferred:




Previous experience in construction (civil and/or electrical) environments. Functional knowledge of Project Management and Financial Systems and tools, such as; + BlueBeam Revu + Bid 2 Win

WORKING CONDITIONS





This is a full-time, office-based position with occasional site visits. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
