. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure efficient execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules using forward and backward pass calculations.
Perform critical path analysis to identify key project constraints and ensure on-time delivery.
Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) for tracking project performance and forecasting.
Manage resource allocation and optimization across multiple projects.
Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate scheduling with overall project planning.
Track project progress, update schedules, and generate reports for management.
Ensure scheduling best practices align with PMBOK standards and industry guidelines.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive in troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly.
Be familiar with scheduling software.
Strong understanding of EVM metrics, schedule variance (SV), cost variance (CV), and performance indices.
Expertise in forward and backward scheduling techniques and critical path calculations.
Experience in resource leveling and optimization.
Knowledge of risk analysis methodologies related to project scheduling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired Education, Certifications, and Experience:
BA or BS in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years proven experience in project scheduling within construction, manufacturing, or engineering industries.
Experience in the steel industry is an asset.
PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.
