The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring efficient manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules and managing resources effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, manufacturing principles, and the ability to utilize various ERP systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and quality control.
Duties
Plan, schedule, and monitor all work orders to ensure on-time project completion.
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and quality assurance to ensure alignment on production goals.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands or resolve issues.
Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for continuous improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with quality control standards throughout the production process.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate assembly line activities and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing
Proven experience in a scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes are highly desirable.
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing is a plus.
Knowledge of quality control practices related to assembly operations is beneficial.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
