The Project Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Canada role will manage and oversee a portfolio of IT Services projects and services being delivered to Saint-Gobain locations and businesses in Canada. The role will work closely with IT Services North America team leads and project managers to ensure Information Technology programs and projects meet organization goals, deadlines, budget and requirements to advance the business footprint of Saint-Gobain within Canada, with priority focus on Merger & Acquisition Projects.

This role will work closely with the IT PMO Director to execute PMO processes and policies, and work with other IT department leaders to deliver successful projects and programs. The role will utilize formal methodologies for defining project key performance metrics, allocating resources, managing priorities, highlighting risks in a timely fashion and portfolio reporting.

The Project Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Canada role will also take on responsibility as Project Manager for certain projects within the portfolio. This includes coordination for defined IT Services projects; definition of project implementation plans; project documentation formalization (project presentations, action plans, etc.); reporting status to Director IT Services North America, CertainTeed Canada IT Director and other stakeholders as needed; and management of project risks and issue with escalation when required.

The incumbent must have a creative and strategic approach to solving process related challenges. Working within the guidelines of the Saint Gobain Principles of Conduct and Actions, the Project Portfolio Manager - Infrastructure Canada coordinates with the team leads from the IT Services North America teams and communicates with resources assigned to multiple projects.

  • Portfolio, Project & Program Delivery: Oversees a critical portfolio of IT infrastructure projects & programs related to locations and businesses in Canada in support of the North American IT organization by providing overall leadership to the project management structure. Works with internal teams, peers and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes in a timely fashion.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Coordinates the IT infrastructure related projects during integration and divestiture initiatives. Works closely with the Director IT Services North America and Director Business Relationship Management on project and efforts related to businesses and locations in Canada.
  • PMO Maturity, Process & Tools: Execute and contribute to process improvements and best practices across PMO to support delivery excellence. For the projects in scope, demonstrate a solid understanding on how IT directly influences the overall company security, employee experience, process efficiency, and business continuity.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Work broadly with both Business and Technology to insure alignment across project delivery. Work effectively with external providers of IT services.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Oversee the critical area of risk management, dependency management and mitigation inclusive of issue identification, risk assessment and mitigation development and recommendations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree required, preferred in Engineering, Technology, analytics or related fields.
  • PMP, PMI or other certification in use of specific methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile (CSM), etc. preferred.
  • 5+ year combined Project Management (for a project involving IT preferably delivering projects with a strong technological component).
  • Bilingual English and French required.
  • Experience in delivering Merger & Acquisition Projects.
  • Exposure to latest technological trends as it relates to the IT digital landscape is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including presentation, influencing and negotiation with the ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and ad hoc requests.
