Genoa Design is recruiting for a Project Planner to join our team!



The Project Planner is responsible for ensuring that project plans, schedules, and reports are accurate and delivered on time. Keeping the team informed of updates and providing the necessary information to keep projects on track is key, while also contributing to a positive project environment that drives performance and celebrates success. This role supports and reports directly to the Project Manager, working closely with internal stakeholders, including project teams, technical leads, and support staff, to ensure that schedules are aligned with project requirements, timelines, and objectives.



THE DAY-TO-DAY



As a Project Planner at Genoa, you will:



Take the lead in developing and maintaining the project schedule(s) with collaboration from project managers and inputs from technical leads, business development, subcontractors & clients. Participate in developing planning and scheduling related procedures and templates. Forecast and report on project updates, delays or variances schedules and deadlines. Ensure project schedule activities are assigned to the project work breakdown structure for cost/schedule integration and analysis. Work with clients, staff and subcontractors to develop and provide the status on schedules for their project components. Communicate with project team regarding scheduling activities and assisting them in determining schedule priorities. Define and optimize critical paths, perform total float analysis, and notify project management status of critical activities and schedule risks. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, including the ability to effectively interact with your team with strong analytical skills and attention to details. Work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines; remain flexible, resourceful, and efficient. Taking on additional duties as required to support the team and organization.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Proven competency as a project planner, including a strong understanding of resource loading, schedule risk analysis, finance reporting and earned value management. Minimum of four years' experience in engineering or construction environment as a project planner. Knowledge of PM scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6 as well as MS Software (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power Bi).

To be eligible for clearance and this position, candidates must be either Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
