Job Description

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Planner in the Mining Industry in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. As a project planner you will support and monitor the progress of projects through their lifecycle. You will ensure that projects are on schedule, key deadlines are met and project documents are sent to the appropriate parties. You will:

• Collaborate with the project manager(s), project controls, estimators and schedulers to complete project forecasting and scheduling.
• Ensure that the project is compliant with project controls and planning processes.
• Maintain and update project information including project status, schedule compliance and progress on deliverables.
• Assist in defining project scope, developing and updating detailed schedules, and identifying variances from the original project plan.
• Work with Project Managers to define timelines and milestones and resolve issues on projects that may lead to bottlenecks.
• Provide estimates for allocating resources on projects based on estimates and scope.
• Complete post project audits to identify and implement accuracy/productivity improvements regarding planning and scheduling.
• Simultaneously track multiple projects from concept to close-out.

Successful candidates will have:

• Technologist diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with Primavera P6 software as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience as a project planner in similar industrial, mining, processing, manufacturing or related settings.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with construction/engineering workflow.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project manager(s), project controls and other key business units.
