Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized
Project Planner
to support the execution of our commercial renovation projects. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring everything is on track from pre-construction through completion. The Project Planner will work closely with estimators, clients, and subcontractors to make sure each project is ready to launch and runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning:
Develop detailed project schedules and timelines, breaking down each scope into actionable phases with clear milestones.
Client Communication:
Provide regular updates to clients on timelines, progress, and any schedule adjustments. Act as a reliable point of contact throughout planning and execution.
Estimator Collaboration:
Work hand-in-hand with the estimator to align planning with project scopes, budgets, and timelines from day one.
Trades & Bids:
Assist with sourcing and vetting subcontractors and trades. Send out bid packages, review submissions, and help with trade selection.
Pre-Construction Coordination:
Ensure all documentation, permits, and materials are in place before the project starts. Prepare everything required for a smooth construction phase.
Ongoing Adjustments:
Track project status, identify potential delays, and make proactive planning updates to keep things on track.
Qualifications
Experience in project planning, coordination, or construction project support (commercial construction preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with construction trades, scopes of work, and bid processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
Comfortable conducting site visits, meetings, and working collaboratively with field and office staff
Proficiency in project planning software or tools is a plus
