What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.
What You'll Do Here:
The Project Payroll Administrator will report to the Project Finance Director and will be responsible for the following: Responsible for entering daily payroll via approved timesheets in SAP.
Perform administrative and clerical duties to maintain current and accurate records for Timekeeping, Project Controls, etc.
Collect, and verify daily labour timesheets for data Payroll entry and processing.
Responsible for the Time and Attendance System employee onboarding, off boarding, daily attendance reconciliations.
Perform all payroll duties such as verifying and submitting all timesheets, audit reports, prepare new employee packages and termination/layoff forms, rate changes, and travel and board calculations.
Assist the site manager and superintendents in tracking analysis and forecasting of ongoing projects.
Coordinate with the Time and Attendance System team to maintain shifts, rosters, etc.
Maintain filing system for payroll documents in accordance with auditing procedures.
Maintain documents for employee information including labour qualifications and certifications, training, etc.
Assist Project Controls in tracking, monitoring, and analyzing productivity data and project costs where applicable.
Fiscal responsibility as required by the Joint Venture agreement the project and ESPCA Collective
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table:
1-3 years minimum Construction site experience.
Payroll data entry, SAP experience preferable.
Related post-secondary education is considered an asset.
Working knowledge on job cost accounting.
Proficient in MS Office applications in MS Windows environment.
Team player, flexible and able to work well with site team members.
Multi-tasking and working within time constraints.
Punctual and dependable.
Strong communication skills.
Strong Excel Skills is considered and asset
Familiarity with EPSCA Union Trade Agreements considered an asset
Familiarity with electronic systems such as Field Data Capture (FDC) considered an asset
