Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our construction team in an office setting with 3 other Project Estimators and support staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project execution. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating and project management software in a dynamic environment. The Project Estimator plays a critical role in bidding processes and project planning, ensuring profitability and efficiency from inception to completion.

Duties



Review and interpret detailed construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize construction estimating software such as Microsoft Suite, On Screen Take off, AutoCad, Bluebeam, and AI software, SEMAR to prepare detailed cost proposals. Analyze project specifications, scope of work, and bid documents to determine labor, material, equipment costs, and project timelines. Collaborate with project managers, site Supervisors, and clients to refine estimates and ensure alignment with project goals. Apply knowledge of construction management for scheduling and resource allocation. Conduct site visits when necessary to gather additional information and validate estimate accuracy. Prepare bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs, schedules, and assumptions. Monitor industry trends and maintain updated knowledge of construction costs, materials, and labor rates. Assist in risk assessment and value engineering initiatives to optimize project outcomes.

Experience



Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field within the construction industry. Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, and other construction management software. Knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction processes. Demonstrated ability in project management tasks including scheduling, resource planning, and cost control. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently. Familiarity with construction management practices and industry standards is highly desirable. Pay: $47,675.18-$106,733.40 per year
