Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. The Construction Estimator will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive bids that meet client specifications.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates and manage project data. Collaborate with project management teams to understand project requirements and scope. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids. Prepare and present detailed proposals to clients, highlighting key aspects of the estimate. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget. Maintain accurate records of estimates, changes, and other relevant documentation for future reference.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Familiarity with project management principles and practices in the construction industry. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: $50,722.79-$112,898.57 per year
