Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our skillful team of individuals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for the glazing/aluminum portion of construction projects and managing the project's execution once it's awarded. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodologies, as well as proficiency in various software tools, such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints and scope of work documents to understand the project's requirements and prepare detailed cost estimates. Conduct site visits to gather information and assess conditions that may affect project costs. Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to commercial clients. Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation. Create precise shop drawings using AutoCAD software. Monitor project budgets and provide updates on cost variances throughout the project lifecycle. Manage projects from initiation to completion. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and contractors Sustain a well-organized track record of orders on job material, including delivery dates. Plan & schedule project timelines. Collaborate with project managers, contractors/subcontractors, engineers and suppliers to properly estimate and execute jobs. Coach. Mentor, motivate and supervise team members.

Qualifications

Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics. Strong background in construction estimating with a focus on accuracy and detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with project management principles and practices related to construction projects. Experience in team management and supervision An understanding of AutoCAD software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
