DOLE Contracting Inc, has been established for 40 + years, as an Institutional General Contractor working for local school boards. Presently, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to become a part of our Team to lead and oversee various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management methodologies. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage teams, vendors, and project deliverables. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Plan all project operations, ensuring design: budget and schedule are being met.
Direct and supervise our unionized labor force along with all outside contractors.
Ensure proper documents and records are on site and available for inspections.
Interface with the Project Team and attend all site meetings.
Consult with sub-contractors and consultants to resolve construction and design issues.
Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and enforce WSIB and Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
Lease site tours and safety inspections.
Implement quality management practices to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee Project Close-Out.
Requirements
Proven experience in project management with a working knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures, and construction trades and techniques.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
Solid organizational skills with a keen attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in change management processes and vendor negotiations.
Proficiency in data analysis skills for informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Legislation.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications and do material take offs.
Possess strong interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Auto-Cad
Speak, Read and write Fluent English,
Valid Drivers License and provide Drivers abstract.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
