Project Manager (with Technical Writing Skills)

Job Description

We are a growing fintech company based in Kitchener, Ontario, with a proven track record of developing and launching innovative financial technology solutions. As we continue to bring new products to market, we're seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams, drive execution, and bring clarity and structure to our development efforts.

In this role, you'll manage timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple initiatives, ensuring that projects move forward efficiently. You'll also support the creation of key technical documentation--particularly around systems, processes, and compliance--so strong written communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities:



Own and manage product development projects from planning through to delivery

Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and task tracking using project management tools

Facilitate collaboration across technical, product, and leadership teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication

Identify risks and dependencies, solve blockers, and ensure accountability to project goals

Support and author project-related documentation, including system overviews, workflows, and regulatory submissions

Work closely with product owners and developers to define priorities and maintain momentum

What You Bring:



Proven experience in project management, ideally in a technology or product development environment

Clear and concise communications skills, especially for technical writing and documentation

Strong organizational skills and confidence leading meetings, managing timelines, and aligning internal stakeholders

A collaborative yet accountable approach. You keep teams focused and projects on track

Understanding of project management best practices (PMP certification is a plus)

Ability to design and improve operational processes and think from first principles

Proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools (MS Project experience is a plus)

Experience in fintech, SaaS, or regulated industries is an asset. As well as experience with related standards like PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 9000
