The Project Manager plays a key role to successfully deliver streamlined and efficient project success and client satisfaction. The Project Manager collaborates and communicates with all relevant internal staff and external clients to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and to the customer's satisfaction, and that all data and documentation is properly managed. The Project Manager is the Art Metz key point of contact for projects responsible for ensuring progress is appropriately monitored and decisions are made and carried out to keep the project on schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Key responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager include:
Create project implementation plans, including setting milestone targets, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources to meet project timelines
Coordinate with external contractors and internal staffing schedulers to ensure resources best positioned for project tasks are assigned
Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities of projects
Work with Account Managers to define project scope and align work to customer expectations
Assess options for ensuring project progress and taking action to implement decisions
Serve as the main point of contact when multiple work units are involved in the project to ensure proper coordination and understanding of actions to be taken
Report any project vulnerabilities or issues to appropriate staff and management
Report progress to clients
Monitor implementation quality and safety compliance to ensure internal and external expectations are met
Adjust project schedules and targets as needed
Lead project implementation meetings with project teams as needed
Ensure all required paperwork is processed efficiently to facilitate timely billing to clients;
Ensure factory and freight schedules match client schedules and deadlines;
Monitor job summary information for all active projects;
Coordinate project closure activities, including site visits, and resolving supplier deficiencies and warranty issues with other Art Metz team members, to ensure customer satisfaction and facilitate project completion and invoicing
Qualifications:
The Project manager will have the following education, experience, skills and abilities:
Education in project management, business or management, preferably with a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation;
Operational experience in a fast-paced business and service delivery environment, preferably in the office furniture industry;
Understanding of typical project management principles, processes and methodologies;
Experience and demonstrated skills using a range of computer applications including, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, Dropbox
Excellent time management skills and experience with creating schedules and maintaining timelines;
Excellent communication (written, verbal), collaboration, customer service and problem-solving skills;
Excellent technical skills and understanding of installation drawings
Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated and handle competing priorities under strict timelines to meet job expectations;
Demonstrate leadership skills and exceptional attention to detail while being friendly and approachable.

Devote working hours, generally 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM workdays - to Art Metz business

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
