About the Role
The Town of New-Wes-Valley is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate a variety of municipal projects, including infrastructure development, public facilities upgrades, sustainability initiatives, and more. This role plays a key part in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality services to the community efficiently, sustainably, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of assigned municipal projects from initiation through completion.
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Collaborate with internal departments, external contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Prepare project documentation including scope statements, budgets, procurement plans, and progress reports.
Monitor compliance with municipal policies, legal regulations, and environmental standards.
Present project updates and recommendations to municipal leadership, council, and the public as needed. o Identify and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in supervisor or management, ideally in a public sector or infrastructure context.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, please note The Town will offer adequate required training to fill this position if needed.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Strong computer and software skills.
Preferred:
Management/Supervisor Experience
Experience working with municipal governments or similar commercial institutions.
Familiarity with public procurement processes and contract administration.
Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft and Excel.
